Cover Our Kids quilts are great scrap busters and don’t need to be very large.
This fall, quilts donated to Cover Our Kids will help bring warmth and comfort to foster children served by Family Forward Hillsboro. The organization serves approximately 300 children and has asked for quilts to distribute at Christmas.
Because Family Forward has limited storage space, quilts collected during September, October and November will be held for delivery by Bits in early December. The committee is also setting aside selected quilts to display at Fanfare of Quilts in March.
Before turning in a quilt, please make sure it is:
- Completely quilted and bound
- Free of pet dander, smoke, and fragrances
- Washed in cool water on gentle cycle using a small amount of mild soap or detergent
- Tumbled dry using low heat
- Washed without fabric softeners, liquid or sheets
- Labeled as “WASHED” or pin a note to the quilt.
