Dear Guild Members,
How quickly the summer months are flying by! We have so much happening! If you haven’t already been out to see our Route 66 Quilt Exhibit, it’s not too late! Our Guild’s 66 Quilts will be on display at Red Cedar Inn on old Route 66 in Pacific, MO until September 15. (And we’ve been invited back for a second artists’ reception on Aug. 30!)
Have you visited our website lately? Our Bits website and newsletter are getting a glow-up! Thanks to our new Website Committee team: Lori Feldman, Dianna Kogut, Harriett Zipfel, Carli Roth, Ruth Grimes, AnnaMarie Erba, and me! We’re working on lots of improvements to make it easier to stay connected and to showcase all the wonderful quilts and events happening at Bits. You’ll start seeing changes, such as a…
- Searchable member directory (with member pics!)
- More useful website (we now have a search button on the home page!)
- More newsy newsletter
- Stronger presence on Facebook, Instagram and Google!
We’re excited about what’s ahead and grateful to everyone who is helping bring these ideas to life! There will be a lot of changes in the coming months and we will walk you through all of them. But for now, you might want to take a look at the “Blog” section on our website to see what’s happening in the Guild in between meetings. Check it out!
I am so excited to see all of you on August 25. I can’t wait to see what everyone has been working on over the last two months. We still have one more great summer program and a workshop too! Joyce Franklin from Piece Works Quilt Shop will be presenting “Out of the Box.” And If you are one of the lucky members who signed up for her workshop you will join her the following day to create “Oh My Ovals!”
We will have Show n Tell, the free table and all of the committee tables this month! One last request: If you have a completed Honor Flight Quilt, please bring it to the August meeting so we can get a count for upcoming flights!
Until then, keep working on your Quilts for the upcoming Fanfare of Quilts 2027 in March!
See you soon, Patti Moreland
