One lucky raffle ticketholder will win this beautiful quilt named “Ocean Stars.”
As many of you know, I’m pretty new to our guild. I thought, what better way to get to know other members and get involved than to volunteer to head up the Raffle Ticket Sales Committee. I can say, Mission Accomplished!!
I learned Raffle Ticket Sales is THE major fundraiser our guild holds, and the fact that it is every other year is unbelievable. I’m astounded to know just how much we are able to do with these funds. We support charities by providing quilts for both Cover our Kids and the Veterans Honor Flights. Plus many more! We also use the funds to pay for our excellent speakers and teachers featured during our guild meetings.
Another big aspect of our Raffle Ticket Committee is holding ticket sales at various quilt shops and other venues, allowing others to have a chance to win our beautiful Ocean Stars Quilt.
We have collected approximately $1,200 thus far, and I’m excited to announce we have been approved to sell tickets at the Folklife Festival at Faust Park on September 26-27.
I’ve also been engaged with The Foundry Art Centre in St Charles to seek approval to sell tickets at their Merry Makers Market on December 4-5. We will hear back from them in early November.

Please know that our committee will continue to be at the back of the room at our monthly guild meetings ready to deliver tickets to those who have yet to pick up or those who need/want more tickets or want to give us the money from their sales. We will also have a collection box for your ticket stubs to be submitted for the drawing at Fanfare of Quilts 2027 next March!
