Communications: Helping Our Guild Stay More Connected

Our Bits ’n’ Pieces website is on the way to becoming much more than a place to find  meeting dates! We’re giving it a glow-up that will become the guild’s central source for news, programs, activities, membership information, quilt show updates and stories (and pics) celebrating the creativity and generosity of our members.

Our new Communications Committee is:

Lori Feldman, the technical lead and newsletter editor. She’ll help us keep our website secure and our online systems working properly.

Ruth Grimes will manage our soon-to-be-released Member Directory. She will help members create their profiles and coordinate with the Membership Committee to onboard new members. The new directory will help us get to know each other in a more personal way than just a name on a list!

Carli Roth manages our Social Media. She’ll share guild news through our Facebook Page, Facebook Group and Instagram. She also helps respond to comments and reviews.

Dianna Kogut manages our Google Business Profile, including photos, events and responses to Google reviews. (Please leave us a review if you haven’t yet! It helps our reach online.) She will also document operating procedures, training guides, calendar deadlines and other instructions that will make it easier for current and future communications volunteers to do their jobs.

Annamarie Erba oversees Analytics. Monitoring our website visits, social media interactions, and email stats helps us understand what is working, where we can improve, and how to reach more quilt lovers…especially at Quilt Show time.

Harriett Zipfel serves as Content Manager. She follows up with officers and committee chairs to collect articles and photos for our newsletter.

Patti Moreland is our guiding light to make sure we take guild history and every member’s past contributions into account as we modernize our online presence.

We’d Love Your Feedback

Is there something you’ve had trouble finding on the website? Do you have a wishlist item or suggestion on how something could work better? Please share your ideas with the Communications Committee at web@bitsnpiecesguild.com. Your input will help us build an online home that truly serves our entire guild.
