Route 66: Back to the Birthplace

Route 66 2026 Centennial Celebration ART Quilt Project

It’s not too late to order your commemorative copy!

The R66 Exhibit Continues its Nationwide Journey

The R66 book, signed by the artists, went into Red Cedar Inn’s 50-year time capsule in August 2026 for our progeny to enjoy when they celebrate 150 years of R66 and the 300th anniversary of the USA!

On Sept 29, we are delivering the exhibit to the History Museum on the Square in Springfield, MO.  It will be there through Novermber 6.

Springfield is known as “The Birthplace of Route 66” because the Mother Road’s numerical designation was famously approved (instead of Route 60 or 62) at the now defunct Colonial Hotel “on the Square” (which is still there!)
